These tokens would contain all key data - serial number, production date, warranty duration and covered conditions - and would be tied to the first buyer. The DEXPIRY system would allow the entire product lifecycle to be tracked, service requests would be facilitated and additional services such as warranty extensions or certificates of authenticity would be provided. This would reduce administrative costs, prevent fraud and open a direct channel to consumers - even when the product is resold.
